Now that we have talked about your speed — let’s go ahead and move onto how you should stop when it is snowy out. One thing that I do in order to stop myself from skidding all over the place is pumping my brakes. Just braking extremely gently can actually make all of the difference.

You also want to make sure that you have your lights on, that way any other drivers can see exactly where you are. If you are driving in a manual car, you want to make sure that you use low gears – that way you will keep the traction that you have.

Do not ever use cruise control when you are driving in the snow, as it can actually make you hit bad spots versus avoiding them.

It is wintertime people and since I have moved from one snowy state to another, I have found that there are quite a few rules that you need to follow when you are looking to drive in the snow. That is what we are going to talk about in the next few blogs, how you can make sure that you get to your destination safe and how you can avoid getting in a car accident.

One of the first things that you want to do is slow down. While I know that slowing down is extremely difficult sometimes, you want to make sure that you allow at least three times more space than usual in order to allow stopping time. This will ensure that you will not rear-end someone.

Alright, so now that we have touched on just a few of the dangers that come with texting and driving, I want to tell you exactly how it can affect your driving skills. As we mentioned before, it will not only split your concentration in two, but if you concentrate a little too much on texting, it is really easy to get into a car crash.

Limiting your distractions will not only help with your driving, but it is something that will ensure that you will be completely focused on your driving. That will in turn, make sure that your driving is completely up to snuff.

So now that you know the dangers of texting and driving, just make sure that you pull over if you absolutely need to use your cell phone.

Now that we have talked a little bit about texting and driving, let’s go ahead and explore some of the dangers that you might experience when you are attempting to text and drive. One of the first things that you need to understand is that driving is operating a heavy machine that does take a lot of concentration and focus.

When you are driving, there should be very little distractions if any at all and when you add in texting to the mix, you are not only distracted but you are also trying to type out words or update statuses. These things take away from your focus.

In this day and age it seems that texting is one of those things that is a necessity for many people. To be quite frank, I have seen people texting while they are doing everything from driving all the way to working and that is what we are here to talk about. Texting while you are driving is very, very dangerous.

While there might be some things that you want to get the word out on, if you are intent on texting while driving, make sure that you pull over and do it instead of while driving. One of the major reasons why so many people get into accidents is the fact that they are texting while driving.
