Mazda Unveils New Mazda 3 Hatchback
After the reveal of the Mazda 3 Sedan in the LA Auto Show, the car manufacturer unveils the Mazda 3 Hatchback in Italy. Both Mazda 3’s are expected to hit the European market next spring to be followed by the United States and the rest of the world.
In the United States, two gasoline engine variants will be offered. One will sport a 2.0L that has an output of 148 horsepower and another as a 2.5L power plant that generates 167 horsepower. The European market will be getting different engines to suit the standards of the local market.
The Hatchback that will be enjoyed by the European market will be running on a newly developed MZR-CD turbo diesel 2.2L engine borrowed from the new Mazda 6. This is in addition to the 2.0 and 1.6L variants. Europe will also get the MZ-CD 1.6L turbo engine that runs on diesel.
