The carmaker also confirmed that the new Ford Explorer will have two engine options. Consumers can choose a 2.0L 4-cylinder EcoBoost giving out 237 horsepower and has a torque of 250 pound feet or they can go for the V6 3.0L powerplant that blasts out 290 hp and a 255 lb-ft torque. Both of these engines will be coupled with 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 2011 Explorer will also boasts of excellent fuel economy according to Ford insiders.

The new member of the Ford garage can also be set as a front wheel drive or have the intelligent 4WD. The 4WD will be an option for the V6 powered Explorer and comes equipped with Hill Descent Control and terrain management shifting modes.

Several features were also added to the Ford Explorer. It now gets Curve Control that triggers the brakes in case the driver enters a curve on a very high speed. The steering now comes as electric power assisted. If you are having a difficult time parking a vehicle, this Ford comes with a park assist which steers by itself into the space while you step on the throttle and the brakes.

Ford also makes available their driver connect system on all trims of the new Explorer. Other options include blind spot system, collision warning technology, and cruise control.

The towing capacity of the vehicle was also improved with the V6 powered Explorer capable of hauling a max of 5,000 pounds while the 4×2 version can manage 3,500 pounds.

The new coupe will be following the lines of the aluminum chassis of the Aero Supersport but it will be taking the form similar to the GT3 racer of the firm. The EvaGT hits the scale at 1250 kilograms with its aluminum panels for its body all crafted by hand.

The EvaGT will be fitted with a twin-turbocharged 3.0L straight six powerplant sourced from BMW that gives out 306 bhp and an impressive torque of 295 lb-ft.

The new 2+2 Coupe can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a matter of 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is pegged at 170 mph. Morgan is also claiming that the EvaGT has a fuel mileage of 40mpg with a carbon dioxide emission of around 200g per kilometer.

The engine of the car is coupled with either a six speed automatic or manual gearbox which can send all the power to its rear wheels. The ride is kept smooth by independent suspension in every corner.

We can expect all the details to be revealed during its official debut come August 15 in California.

What is typically the first thing that you think about whenever you are dealing with a VW?  The bug is typically the first thing that I think of however nowadays, the Jetta is actually getting quite a bit of attention, specifically the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen.  This car is honestly one of my favorite and I have to say that if you are anything like me, VW is your favorite brand of car!

When I think about the brand Lincoln, I can tell you for sure that I think of an older generation.  It is not a brand that I believe many of the younger crowd would buy – the reason?  Well, because I think that a lot of the car designing has to do with the older generations and a lot of the design aspects on the inside appeal more to the older crowd, however the 2010 Lincoln MKT is the different.

Audi aims to focus on selling their premium sedans like the A6, A7 4-door coupe, and the new A8. This move is primarily to bring the brand to the higher segment of the market and catch up with the leaders of the luxury market.

The U.S. top executive of Audi is foreseeing the sales of the three sedans to make up the 25% of their North America sales pie chart in a matter of fiver years. Last year the A6 and the A8 comprised the 10% of Audi’s sales in the U.S.

The A4 will still be the bread and butter unit of the brand making up for 40% of the total sales – including the new Audi A4 Allroad Quattro. Audi management though is hoping to build up the image of their premium sedans which can also serve as their halo models.

The game plan will start to materialize as the 2011 Audi A8 rolls off the assembly line by mid of 2010. Audi is looking at 4,500 units of the 2011 A8 to be sold to their American market every year. It is quite a projection since last year’s version of was only able to rack up 1,463 sales.

The A7 is expected to debut in Geneva this March and will also roll out this year. A new generation of A6 is expected to be produced by 2012.

The concept is known thus far as the 5 by Peugeot, which in my humble opinion is a rather edgy and evocative name. It is the automaker’s second show car and it is going to be debuted right beside the strongly anticipated SR1.

Peugeot is set to show what they have in mind for the future with both concepts, especially their future in the segment devoted to larger luxury automobiles. The 5 has elegantly simplistic lines as well as subtler details on the technical side of things.
