New Ford Taurus SHO in Chicago
Ford puts on center stage the 2010 variant of the Taurus SHO at the Chicago Autoshow. This version will be an upgrade of the standard Taurus family vehicle.
Fuel Efficiency will be the name of the game as Ford reactivates the SHO name. The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO can deliver a mean 365 horsepower with its 3.5L EcoBoost engine. This will roll out to the showrooms with a tag price kicking off at $37995 this summer.
The first Taurus SHOW was assembled in 1989 and has sold around 100000 units through its run after a decade in the market. The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO has in its core a V6 twin turbocharged engine that revs up to 5500 rpm and translating its power to 365 horsepower.
The new generation SHO is a new breed of cars that has Super High Output. Its older sibling only gives out 235 hp and another older version registers at 220 horsepower.
The twin turbo charged engine also helps prevent turbo lag during operation. Compared to the single turbo set up, the twin turbo helps in decreasing the inertia inside the engine. The improved and updated fuel injection system also makes the car more fuel efficient.
The Ford Taurus SHO is equipped with a six speed transmission that will allow drivers to accelerate smoothly and drive comfortably even on high speed. A SelectShift system gives the driver easy control via paddle shifters.
Standard to the 2010 Taurus SHO will be the Easy Fuel filler, voice activation, push button star, and elegant lighting. A Performance Package will also be available for those with discriminating automotive taste. More info soon on Ford Car Blog!
