Toyota is the top automaker right now … we all know that, but did you know that their latest concept car is the Toyota FT-EV II?  This is a car that was actually debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show and honestly, this particular car looks … well, weird doesn’t it?

The Toyota FT-EV II Concept Car is actually a mini-car that is going to be electric, but it does not look like all of the other mini-electric cars, which is good I guess.

The iQ is actually where the Toyota FT-EV II Concept Car was born from and while I can appreciate that fact, I still think that they could make the Toyota FT-EV II Concept Car a little less … strange.

So, at first, I did not think I knew anything about the Nanjing Auto brand, but it turns out that I really do, because the manufacturer owns another brand — the very classic, ultra cool British MG brand. It is also a part of the notorious SAIC Auto Group.

The automaker recently revealed the Nanjing MG6, and this is definitely one hot ride.

Even now, there is not a whole lot of information available on the car, but it is said to be a variation of the extremely popular Roewe 550, which was unveiled last year during Auto China 2008. It is also anticipated to occupy what is known as the C2 segment, which means the car may end up being a four door, coupe style vehicle.

As you can see from the title, this is the Geely Global Hawk GX718. It was released at Auto Shanghai earlier this year, and it is also sometimes known as the GLEAGLE GX718. The sports utility is a medium sized one manufactured by Geely Auto.

I am a fan of this SUV as well. I do not know precisely why, really, I just like the look of it a whole lot.

It looks quite a bit like other concepts which were revealed by Geely, but it was actually developed by the concept for the NL, which was shown last year in Beijing.

I am not really all that familiar with Geely manufactured vehicles, but this one definitely makes me want to get to know more about the brand.

This is the Buick Business concept, and I have to say, I sort of like it.  I am not normally a fan of Buick vehicles, cars or otherwise.  To me, for whatever reason — simply personal preference, probably — they just seem a little too big and bulky.  You will hopefully forgive me for saying so, but they strike me as Grandpa cars, in that you expect to see older drivers behind the wheel.

I suppose I like this concept because it is big, and for all of that, it does not seem to be too awfully bulky.  With other Buicks, it is like they just try to cram too much car into a smaller package, and it simply does not work.

The Business Concept works because it is supposed to be big.  While classified as a Business vehicle, I can actually see it being a great family vehicle.

When you think about it – Ford has been coming out with all sorts of Mustangs over the last few months and while I know that the Mustang is a sports car that most people … love, what has happened to the Corvette?  Well, the brand new 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible is one car that is making not only waves, but tidal waves!

This car is absolutely incredible looking – all around.  The fact that it is a convertible is fantastic and I have to say that if you are a ‘Vette lover, you are going to ensure this beautiful car in all of its glory.  Not only does the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible look cool, but the engine is redone and the overall bodywork has been done up.

Okay folks, what automakers do you think is the best out there?  The automaker that is really making waves with all of their cars and the one that is certainly going to be the main event at the Tokyo Motor Show?  Well – the answer is the Mitsubishi automaker.  Know why?  Well, the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV of course!

This is a concept CUV that will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show and I have to say that it is certainly going to be one CUV that I am going to fall in love with.  Not only is the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV cool looking all around but it is actually a plug-in hybrid crossover, which is what … the first right?

So if you are looking for a brand new CUV, the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV is the vehicle for you – it looks awesome and is certainly going to gain you some attention.

It has been quite a while since we have covered a limousine in this particular blog right?  Well, I just had to tell you guys about the brand new Hyundai Equus LV500 Limousine.  This is actually one of the coolest Hyundai’s for it is completely bulletproof and is actually the president’s limo … which makes it all that much better.  Now, it is not Obama’s limousine, it was actually built for Cheong Wa Dae, which is the South Korean president.

However, this particular limousine was decked out for Cheong.  All sorts of different tricks were added to the Hyundai Equus LV500 Limousine to really make it his ride and personally – I would love to take a tour inside this black beauty.

Personally, I love that limos for the president’s are becoming not only more stylish but better looking.

Acura announced to the public last year that they will be offering a manual Acura TL for its 2010 release. The public can now get a taste of the Acura TL with an option for a self shifter with six speeds going side by side with the five-speed Sequential Sportshift automatic of the 2009 TL. The sticker price for the all wheel drive TL SH starts at $42,385.

The new manual gear box gets stronger architecture and better engineering compared to its older siblings. Aside from the tougher aluminum casing and rigid internals, the gearbox is equipped with specially designed synchronizers to make transmission smoother. The clutch also gets a new build to blend well with the natural strong torque of the V-6 3.7L power train.

The Acura TL 3.7L variant boasts of 305 horsepower and an torque of about 275 lb-ft. The 3.5L model outputs 280 horsepower with a 254 lb-ft torque.

The manual transmission model uses bushings to make sure that the transmission and the engine is very stable during high rev driving. The car also gets 1% improvement on weight distribution with a 58/42 ratio compared to the 59/41 of the automatic model. The better ration may be attributed to the 110 lbs shaved off from its curb weight compared to the 5-speed automatic release.

Now – The Fiat Punto Evo is a car that is supposed to look almost like a Maserati in a hatchback form, however – the Italian automaker actually updated the Fiat Punto Evo and they wanted it to be a surprise for the public.  To me – this is exactly the makeover that was needed, for it will definitely put Fiat back on the map.

Visually, the Fiat Punto Evo has all sorts of new things!  New bumpers, new lights front and rear, a brand new grille and a handful of little and modern touches that truly does make this beautiful car look amazing and feel very – very good. 

Although, the Fiat Punto Evo hardly ranks among the many European hatchbacks, I think that this little car is definitely on its way of making it in the rankings!

While I know that there are a hell of a lot of crossover vehicles out there right now, to me, the Hyundai Tucson ix35 is by far the best one.  Not only does it look good on the road, but at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it was definitely in the spotlight and it owned it!  While most people think that the Hyundai Tucson ix35 looks like every other crossover vehicle, to me – it looks different.

I think that the lines looks cleaner and crisper and I think that overall, the Hyundai Tucson ix35 is going to make an impact.  The new Hyundai Tucson ix35 – right now is being offered up with a 2.0L engine and a six-speed automatic slushbox.

If you are looking for a brand new crossover – the Hyundai Tucson ix35 is definitely the car for you!
