Rinspeed announces more facts on iChange for Geneva
Rinspeed had unveiled another outrageous but totally awesome concept in the motor world at the Geneva car show. This time, Rinspeed made an actual Transformer beauty and they named it iChange. The futuristic concept car is able to shift its shape that it can be occupied by three persons, thanks to its aerodynamic properties.
The Rinspeed iChange Concept is sculpted into a shape of a teardrop and is electrically powered machine runs with a motor of 150 kilowatts or 204 horsepower and it is shifted with a six-speed gearbox that clings from the famous Subaru WRX. Car aficionados might also be interested to know that there are two varieties of lithium ion batteries to choose from, one is for short-range, and the other is for long range. These can produce enough fuel to accelerate the speed up to 62 miles per hour in just about four seconds. The highest speed is noted at 137 mph. Also, the car makes no emissions. Other environmental features include spun wool interior façade and solar panels on the roof.
The approximate weight of iChange is 2,315 pounds, and is driven with 215/40-17 Pirelli P Zero on the front, and 245/40-18 tires on the rear.
Car aficionados will surely find this fact interesting. iChange does not have doors. One can enter and exit the car by tilting of the roof forward. Aside from that, motorists will make use of an Apple iPhone Smartphone to rev the engine, instead of a key.
