Buick Means Business with this Concept!

October 11th, 2009

Buick Business ConceptThis is the Buick Business concept, and I have to say, I sort of like it.  I am not normally a fan of Buick vehicles, cars or otherwise.  To me, for whatever reason — simply personal preference, probably — they just seem a little too big and bulky.  You will hopefully forgive me for saying so, but they strike me as Grandpa cars, in that you expect to see older drivers behind the wheel.

I suppose I like this concept because it is big, and for all of that, it does not seem to be too awfully bulky.  With other Buicks, it is like they just try to cram too much car into a smaller package, and it simply does not work.

The Business Concept works because it is supposed to be big.  While classified as a Business vehicle, I can actually see it being a great family vehicle.

Buick or GMC Dealerships … What Is Happening?

September 2nd, 2009

Buick or GMC dealershipsFinally, it has been confirmed that while there are going to be some stand-alone dealerships, Buick and GMC are not going to be apart of that particular crowd.  Most of the time, GMC is only known for their trucks and while GM should not exactly keep this particular brand around – they want to and they are going to team it up with Buick.  Every dealership you see come October, 2010 is going to be Buick-GMC, no more stand-alone.

Personally, I think this is the smartest thing that they can do.  Consolidating every dealership is smart, hell, from a customer’s point of view, they should be able to go to one place to buy everything and that is just the way it should be … while logically, I know that is not going to happen, if GM has a bunch of brands under their wing, just smush them together and the customers will be happy.

On a side note – you want anymore Pontiacs, you better get your butt in gear because the prices have been slashed and they are selling!
