Visually, the Fiat Punto Evo has all sorts of new things! New bumpers, new lights front and rear, a brand new grille and a handful of little and modern touches that truly does make this beautiful car look amazing and feel very – very good.

Although, the Fiat Punto Evo hardly ranks among the many European hatchbacks, I think that this little car is definitely on its way of making it in the rankings!

Last April 30, American automaker Chrysler filed for bankruptcy and had to halt the production of all its plants in North American. Today, with Fiat holding the reigns on the Dodge Viper, the Chrysler plant in Conner Avenue, Michigan has resumed.

According to the bankruptcy documents Chrysler filed last month, the company has only produced 61 units in the Conner Avenue factory this year.

Chrysler spokesperson Max Gates confirmed the resume of production in the Wall Street Journal. The Conner Avenue plant is the bread and butter of approximately 115 employees who manufacture Dodge Viper models designed for both race and city driving.

Some reports detail several plants may also resume its production shortly despite the automaker’s plan to halt the production again on the weeks of July 13 and 20 when the long-established shutdown takes place.

Chrysler executives cannot give a definite date as to when they can resume their production in their assembly lines.

This is indeed great news not only for Chrysler employees but also for the avid fans of the Dodge Viper series. However, there is talk that Chrysler is still planning to sell or stop the production for good. Rumors have been swirling that Fiat intends to kill the Viper series because it might compete with the sales coming from Maserati and Ferrari brands.

Since Fiat now handles the production of Viper models, Fiat now owns 20% of Chrysler. Moreover, Chrysler combined its remaining assets with Fiat.
